Product Description:
- The protective devices consist of mechanical crankcase pressure detector and a low water detector.
- If the device detects the positive crank- case pressure or low coolant level, the appropriate detector senses this condition and initiates engine shutdown.
Specification:
- Crankcase pressure gauge trip: New - 0.8 inches of WC to 1.8 inches of WC Old – 0.8 inches of WC to 3.0 inches of WC
- Pump Discharge Pressure: 20” of WC
- Air box pressure: 20” of WC (for new devices) 30” of WC (for old devices)
Application:
- Whenever the crank case water goes low this device work like detector sensor and allow the loco to shut down.
- The Engine Protection Device (EPD) protect the engine against all abnormal conditions that can be harmful for the engine such as over speed, low oil pressure, low coolant pressure, low/high coolant temperature, high crankcase pressure, hot lubricating oil, and overload.
