The Doppler Radar Assembly consists of a Doppler Radar sensor with its transceiver assembly, front end filter, amplifier, and digital detector, digital signal processor, and subsystems. The principle of detection sensing of target returns is based on the Doppler speed sensor. The transceiver assembly provides the transmitting power at K Band frequency with an integral detector unit providing the Doppler frequency output.

  • The Ground Relay Circuit is intentionally connected to the locomotive frames.
  • Therefore, any generator imbalance condition or accidental contact with the frame will result in current flow through the frame between the intentionally grounded GR circuit and accidental ground in the locomotive circuit.
  • On past Micro-Processor units, the locomotive automatically locks in particular mode if a certain within a certain time frame.
  • The same technology has been adopted in P4 and G4 locomotives.
  • However, the timing of this event is a bit different with EM2000 control.
  • Specially, each GR event is now timed individually irrespective to any other event.
  • Once 10 mins have passed post the occurrence of the first event, the event is cleared from the events routine’s memory.
